PARENTS

The Declaration on Christian Education (Gravissimum Educationis) of the Second Vatican Council teaches that parents are the primary educators of their children. Pope John Paul II reiterated this sentiment in his Apostolic Exhortation on the family, Familiaris Consortio, in which he stated that “the right duty of parents to give education is essential…it is original and primary with regard to the educational role of others…it is irreplaceable and inalienable and therefore incapable of being entirely delegated to others usurped by others."

Recognizing these truths, Regina Angelorum Academy aims to assist parents in the formation and education of their children. It does so by providing an atmosphere that fosters Christian spiritual, intellectual, moral, and physical formation.

PARENTS' GUILD

At Regina Angelorum Academy, all parents belong to the Parents' Guild which helps support the mission of the academy by sponsoring a variety of fun, community building activities and programs as well as organizing fundraising events. Our parents’ talents and hard work make all of our events and programs special, and help foster a spirit of joy in our community.

Our Parents' Guild is an active group which sews the parent community together while contributing significantly, enabling the school to purchase those extras that enrich the learning environment and the life of the academy.

GRANDPARENTS

Grandparents are integral to the formation of a student of Regina Angelorum Academy. We strive to learn from them the wisdom that they have obtained through their various life experiences. Our Grandparents help embody the virtues that we see in Sts. Joachim and Anne, the Grandparents of Jesus. They brought up Mary in the faith and helped her develop into the woman God chose to be the Mother of Jesus. Likewise, we look to our Grandparents as examples who help nourish in us and our parents faith we profess and the values that we hold dear.

Each year we invite Grandparents and other close family to Grandparents Day so they can see first hand their grandchildren’s classes and enjoy a special musical performance.  Please contact the school if you would like more information!
