RAA Attends 2021 Pro-Life Gala

Eighth grade students attended the Pro-Life Union's Stand Up for Life dinner at the Sheraton Hotel in Philadelphia on November 21st. This annual event for RAA students is one of the many ways the students actively support the right to life from the moment of conception until natural death. Many RAA alumni, representing area high schools were also present.

This year’s gala was hosted by Fr. Chris Walsh who is the Chair of the Pro-Life Union board. The keynote address was given by Patricia Sandoval, an international pro life and chastity speaker. She shares her story around the world of her three abortions and her work behind the hidden doors of Planned Parenthood. Sandoval's journey includes nearly three years as a homeless drug addict, testifying the saving love and mercy of Jesus Christ.

Our students had many take-away messages from the talk. A leading theme was that no matter how hard life is or desperate you become, it's never too late to reach out to Christ.

The Stand Up for Life dinner is hosted annually by the Pro-Life Union of Philadelphia. The Pro Life Union is a group of organizations that support pregnant moms. Over 1,200 people attended this year’s gala. The Pro-Life Union “uses hope and love for families to serve and accompany others by offering education, alternatives, and public witness that eliminates the need for abortion and euthanasia in Greater Philadelphia.”

The 2021 annual Stand Up For Life Dinner was a celebration of the pro-life movement. Guests included representatives from Catholic Social Services, dozens of other pro-life organizations and still more representatives from area Catholic grade schools and high schools.

Regina Angelorum Academy is a private Catholic school in suburban Philadelphia. A part of our mission in providing a Catholic education is to promote the sanctity of life from conception to natural death.
